ICPB Appoints New Leadership Team for 2024-26 Term

The India Convention Promotion Bureau (ICPB) announced the election of its new office bearers for the 2024-26 term at its Annual General Meeting held in New Delhi. The unopposed appointments mark progress in establishing India as a premier destination for MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions) events.

New leadership includes Mr. Chander Mansharamani as Vice-Chairperson, Mr. Sudeep Sarcar as Honorary Secretary, and Mr. Amit Saroj continuing as Honorary Treasurer.

Vice-Chairperson Mansharamani outlined plans to restructure operations aligned with international standards, emphasising the need for collaboration with India's Ministry of Tourism to enhance presence at international trade fairs and secure financial support for promotional activities. He said: “Our goal is to transform ICPB into a truly pan-India organization that reaches every region.”

Honorary Secretary Sarcar, with two decades at ICPB and experience managing national award-winning venues and major events, envisions building “an independent, robust secretariat” focused on elevating India's global MICE ranking through government alignment and stakeholder engagement.

Honorary Treasurer Saroj expressed confidence in the team's capacity to attract international association meetings and strengthen ICPB's global positioning. The board includes ten additional members representing diverse industry sectors.
